The children have been very busy making lovely things to sell at the Christmas market on Friday, 25th Nov, at the Kilchoan Community Centre. We are raising money for our school fund and the mini bus fund so we hope you will all come along. We look forward to seeing you all there đ
Here is a sneak peek at some of the bits we will be selling!
The pupils at Kilchoan Primary and Nursery travelled yesterday, Thursday 30th Jun, to Acharacle for a fun day. The children had an amazing time and took part in lots of different activities, such as disco dome, art, boat challenge and marshmallow toasting in the woods. We would like to thank everyone at Acharacle for inviting us and looking after us. The children made lots of friends and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
We would also like to thank Sheil buses and Martin who have been fantastic this week and transported the Kilchoan children around Ardnamurchan for free. This is much appreciated.
The children built the looms and they are now warped up. The weaving begins. Â It’s not easy keeping the tension right but the children are slowly getting the hang of it. Â Meanwhile most children are on to the next piece of sewing…… a place mat.
We are learning how to sew and started by decorating a bookmark for practice. Â After the bookmark we will move on to a place mat and then who knows? Â The boys are pretty good at this as are some of the girls. Â Some keep getting their wool in a fankle, I wonder who they are?
